As announced at the last statewide meeting, a listserve has been created
for CPT medical personnel. This list works by distributing any e-mail
entry and any attachments to ALL members of the list simultaneously. This
means that all members have the capability of entering any information
and having that information distributed to all members for appropriate
action, information, or consultation. Likewise, all replies are distributed
to all members.
Membership to all CPT medical personnel is free but membership is limited
strictly to medical personnel, and access is controlled by e-mail address
and password. All medical directors should feel free to distribute this
notice to all medical providers for the team.
An example of how the list could be used appropriately is for the case
consultation. If a member has a problem case, he can summarize the case,
import pictures and distribute to the list for opinions. it could also
be used for peer review of unknown cases. I plan to use it to distribute
new information, articles, etc. to all medical personnel simultaneously.
The name of the list is FLFORENSICPEDS-L@maillist.abusenet.org.
The site will index conversations of similar content and archive all traffic
for future reference.
If you desire to become a member, all i need from you is your name and
e-mail address. When you initially sign on, be sure you do so from the
computer you will be using every time you sign on. You will select your
own password. When you become a member you will be sent a welcoming message
at your e-mail address (sample confirmation e-mail).
Instructions will be attached.
This list is not to be used for advertising, self-promotion, or other
non-medical purposes. Any access to the list by unauthorized persons will
lead to automatic disconnection of the member whose address was used.
